The Who & Why

Author mixing a remedy from her book.

Firstly, Dr. Nicole Apelian is a

  • Biologist
  • Anthropologist
  • Mother
  • Educator
  • Researcher
  • Author
  • Expeditionary leader
  • Safari guide
  • Herbalist and traditional skills instructor.

She wrote this book with Claude Davis because she noticed a lot of beneficial plants in peoples backyards were being largely overlooked.

Plants and herbs that could be used in common diseases and illnesses.

Things You Will Find In The Book

800+ beneficial plants and remedies in “The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies”.

It includes recipes of

  • Tinctures
  • Teas
  • Decoctions
  • Essential oils
  • Syrups
  • Salves
  • Poultices
  • Infusions and many other natural remedies.

These book features remedies that our grandparents used for centuries.

Most importantly, they are natural and organic!

My Favorite Remedy From The Book

Without this book I would of never found a natural and organic pain reliever and something to control inflammation.

Best part was the ingredients was in my backyard.

“Cottonwood bud oil is very effective for relieving pain and inflammation in swollen joints, carpal tunnel and muscles. Massage the oil or salve into the affected area 3x/day.”

The Special Part Of The Book

This book has between 2 and 4 high definition, color pictures for each plant and detailed identification guidelines to make sure you’ve got the right plant.

This book shows you plants that can be used for medical uses right in your backyard!

This is exactly how I found out that Cottonwood used for this remedy is a tree that can be found in every county of Illinois.

Illinois is the state I live in!

Easy To Understand

I know we have all been to the doctor.

We hear the terms they are using and they have to be googled to understand.

This book does a great job of breaking down the plants and how they help to take care of said ailments.

The authors do a great job of using pictures and step by step instructions on everything in the book.

Worst and Best Parts

The worst part does not have to do with the book.

It’s that we don’t live around more plants that can benefit my family and I.

Best part is that natural and organic ingredients can be and shipped to your house.

The purchase of the book easily made our money back in the first year after reading it.

Notable though that just like with anything it’s not a cure all over night book.

On the other hand, if you are a fan of this website you would rather use natural and organic ingredients in everyday life including medicines.

I would highly recommend for any person looking for natural and organic remedies

You find out what plants and herbs are local to you or find out where they grow.

Easy to understand and easy to follow step by step!
